Angelina Jolie at Hollywood Film Festival - Tons of Photos
Angelina is definitely back in full form! Yesterday found her in Hollywood, presenting the best director of the year award to Clint Eastwood at the Hollywood Film Festival! She looked absolutely wonderful and up giving Clint his award, had this to say:
“There are some people in this business that are icons, and we often wonder if, when we meet them, they’ll live up to what we imagine them to be. And Clint Eastwood in person is even better… Clint is what every great director should be. He is a great leader. And I certainly would follow him anywhere.”
When he accepted the award, he said some nice things back, including:
“Working with someone like Angelina Jolie is a great privilege, because you get to look on that gorgeous beauty every day. And she’s a great talent.”
The two look so comfortable with each other. I would imagine, though, that she hasn’t had much time to spend with Brad lately! I hope she gets to head back to Germany to enjoy time with her family very soon - enjoy the photos Jolie-Pitt fans!

Thanks for the pics, Randi. Angie looks really nice in that black dress. I think she’s one of those woman who carry their clothes rather than the clothes carrying them, does that make sense. She seems to find a way to make any dress look good on her.
Anyway, she and Clint do sort of come across as a father-daughter figure. I love the camaraderie and rapport that seem to emanate from them two.
I wonder though when she’ll be heading back to Germany?

I think it was great that Angelina attended the event to give the award to Clint. Is it right to say that the business was turning its back to Angelina in the past? I’m a new fan.I don’t want to bring back the past, just want to understand why Clint has said that Angelina is an underrated actress.

Le, I’m not sure I understand correctly, but I think he said she’s underrated because media and most people generally look at her as a celebrity rather than an actress, since more attention is paid to her and the way she lives her life rather than her acting abilities, which many directors have said is very very good. Sadly, rather than focus on her talent, media, particuarly tabloid media, would rather focus on other things.

Isacutie, you may be right. It’s real challenge when your life is in public eye. I have a feeling too that she was very much misunderstood by the people. But the truth always prevails.

He meant that she is such a beauty one over looks her talent and what she has accomplished as an artist.
She has done many films,won an Oscar..Been nominated many times..Does work for the UN..and still people over look that and talk about her Personal life with Brad and such..It isn’t fair..Because one should not be punished for being beautiful and talented as she is..but admired because she over looks her appearance and celebritydom.
Thus reaching inside herself and help others in need.
She is a great Actor,Mother,Humanitarian and partner to Pitt!
