Brad Pitt Watch

Apparently now that the paparazzi in France know where Brad and Angie are, they’re going to bug them as they do when they’re in the states, and while this makes me angry and annoys me, I can’t help but love these photos. Brad, Angelina, and all of the kids went for a walk near Bono’s home in the south of France on Sunday (I don’t know if it’s Sunday OUR time or THEIR time - I’m horrible with time zones). David Howell Evans, guitarist and back up vocalist for U2, was with them and had some fun playing with the kids in the sun and the sand. And let me say right now that I love Angie’s colorful dress - it looks beautiful and oh so comfortable - I want one!

Evans and Brad, being gentlemen, where right there, ready to lend a hand when Angie wanted to get up from her rocky perch. Zahara was hanging out with Mommy, Pax was getting tossed in the air and dumped in the ocean by Daddy, and Maddox was taking a dip in the water. Family fun looks to have been had by all!

So while I’m sad that they can’t have all of the private time that they love, I am happy to see that they’re looking happy and healthy and like they’re having a very relaxing vacation!

I dragged myself from my sick bed this morning to see what is going on in Brad and Angie’s world (I’m feeling much better, thank you for the well-wishes!) and found out that everyone thinks that Brad and Angelina have wed?! See! Every time I escape for a day something big happens.

Star swears that Brad and Angelina are married. That they brought the kids to New Orleans where they wed in a small church in the French Quarter, and that they are going back to Texas immediately due to Brad’s filming schedule.

People, however, says that “it just ain’t so” – they have an “inside source” who says that there was no wedding in New Orleans, and that the couple has not left Austin, Texas since the other week.

OK Magazine is saying that the rep replied that she had “no idea” if the couple were married or not.

I usually don’t give these rumors any credence, but this time it seems to be a pretty big story. I have contacted his publicist and am waiting to hear back in order to confirm or deny these rumors, and while I’m expecting her to deny them, knowing this impulsive couple, I wouldn’t be too surprised if she confirmed it either!

Wow how the weekend flies. I barely had time to check my e-mail this weekend, what with all of the Easter festivities. Looks like Brad and Angie had a busy weekend too! The X17 Paparazzi caught Brad carrying Shiloh onto a jet on the 21st - where did they head? No one knows yet! My guess would be to Brad’s family, because it seems to be the only place that the family can escape to without the paparazzi jumping all over them. So I’m hoping that the family was able to enjoy a quiet Easter weekend together! And how was your Easter weekend?!

Hi guys! Sorry I didn’t post anything this weekend - I love when the Jolie-Pitt’s get to hide from the paps, but it makes it a bit more difficult to put a post up, because I actually have to use my head! I also took my first trip to a Lowes (remember, I live in a very, VERY rural place) and I’ve decided that I can never go into that store again - I’ll spend WAY too much money. Anyway, I was trying to track down some Brad news this morning and I landed on this:

I landed on this over at the lovely Brad Pitt Gallery, and it made me really laugh, which I always can use on a Monday. It made me think about which highschool celebrity I would have taken a second glance at. How about you?

All of us have been happy about Brad’s Make It Right campaign and have wished that we could do more. Finally another celebrity has.

Ellen DeGeneres has begun her own team for Make It Right! She is asking all of her viewers and fans to donate to the team and so far they have raised - wait for it - $169,838 - which is more than any other team has raised thus far!

Ellen is a HUGE celebrity and people love her even more than they loved Rosie O’Donnell oh so many years ago. Who knows how much Ellen will be able to raise! For more on Ellen’s quest to help the citizens of New Orleans, and to join Ellen’s team, head to her site here.

All good things must come to an end, and while there’s no end in sight yet for Brad, it is necessary to say that he’s aging. I’m sure that, like Sean Connery, he will continue to act, but eventually someone will have to step into his shoes to take the roles that he’s no longer the right age for. So who will be the “next” Brad?

How about James Marsden?

James has been slowly working his way up the Hollywood ladder, much in the same way that Brad did. He started in 1993 with a role in Saved by the Bell: The New Class, and he survived that career suicide to act in a number of other shows. Arguably, his biggest break was in playing Cyclops for X-men. Since then he’s gone on to apper in a number of popular movies, such as The Notebook, Superman Returns, Hairspray, and now the immensely popular Enchanted, where he dances and sings!

Marsden is now appearing in theaters in teh romantic comedy 27 Dresses. He’s also in the process of filming The Box, a story about a married couple who finds a box on their doorstep. Whenever they open the box they get a lot of money, but it also kills someone that they know…moral dilemma!

Marsden is 10 years younger than Brad, has been married for 7 years and has 2 children. So how about it: is James Marsden the next Brad Pitt, or is that slot saved for the 12 year younger Casey Affleck?

Alright, imagine this: you’re driving around in Los Angeles. You stop at a red light, look to your side and see this:

Brad Pitt stopped at a stop light! I don’t know about you, but I’d probably freak out!! I believe that this photo was taken on December 8th. But seriously, can you imagine pulling up next to him? So freaky!

Also, here is a shot of Angie and Brad leaving after the fight. Look who hopped on the plane with them! It’s Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani!! How cool is that?! Look at the star power on that plane, huh?

Could you see little Kingston hooking up with Zahara or Shiloh when they grow older?! How awesome would THAT be?!

This video is absolutely priceless! This was shown at the American Cinematheque tribute to Julia Roberts. Seems George Clooney wasn’t able to be there in person, so he taped a little message…with a quick cameo from a mutual friend…

I saw a US Weekly cover (at least I think it was US Weekly - all the gossip rags look slightly alike to me) that was promoting the “life of Hollywood children” and had Violet Afflect, Suri Cruise, and Shiloh on the cover. A few weeks ago I saw a similar type of show - “famous Hollywood children” (or something like that) on VH1. Again, it talked about Shiloh and said next to nothing about the other three children gracing the Pitt-Jolie household.

This annoys me to no living end! The media is treating Shiloh like she’s the only child in the Jolie-Pitt household just because she’s their only biological child. We all know that Angie and Brad treat all four of their children equally - if anything, we’ve seen them out and about more with Maddox, trying, in a way, I’m sure, to make him feel a little more special since he went from being a single child to a child with three other siblings in a relatively short time.

The media needs to wake up and realize that Maddox, Pax, and Zahara are all children of Angie and Brad too - and that they’ll all grow up with the same priveledges.

I have very few best friends in my life - one of them is Katie over at Watching Criminal Minds. (which, by the way, is WAY beneath House when it comes to being a good show). Anyway, Katie has decided, over on her Criminal Minds blog, to bring back the whole “Team Aniston vs Team Jolie” thing again. When we were in high school, we used to argue if Selma Hyak was better or Catherine Zeta-Jones (Zeta-Jones is WAY more hot, and she’s got that dominatrix quality that is just awesome!), so it only makes sense that we’d choose sides when it came to the Jolie/Aniston battle. Unfortunately Katie has ignored all common sense and is chosing Team Aniston - WHAT?!

Okay, first of all she says that Jennifer Aniston is a “lady” - that she just looks “nice”, and that she seems much more approachable than Angelina. Hmmm - let’s compare, shall we?

In this shot, Angie looks as though she’s ready to cry. A totally candid shot. Let’s compare with Aniston, shall we?

In that middle shot, she looks PISSED! And she doesn’t look good in a bikini either. Okay, so putting Angie in a refugee camp against Jennifer in a bathing suit isn’t really fair - here’s Angie, then!

You know, I can’t FIND a picture of Angelina in a bikini! Hrm - I wonder why?! Well, let’s go onto something else, then…

Brad and Jen were married for five years. During which time Brad didn’t do tons of acting (he’s doing more NOW than he did THEN) and supported Jen’s career. What I’m assuming happened (and I hate assuming, but it’s all we can do) is that Brad wanted to start a family after Jen finished with Friends. Obviously Jen didn’t want to at that point in her life (if she wasn’t able to biologically have children, they could have adopted - Brad has certainly adopted since) and I believe that Brad had a problem with that. Brad and Angie have been together for a little over two years, and they’ve had 3 children together (adopted 2 and had one biologically), so it’s pretty obvious that he definitely wanted children.

Let’s look at Angie and Jen’s asthetic appeal, shall we?

Alright, so here’s Jennfer Aniston. Let’s look at her objectively: Her hair looks extremely thin, although she had a stylist that was brilliant a few years ago who created all the rage when he cut her hair short and layered it. I feel that her face actually looks rather mannish - if she wanted to play the part of a transvestite, she could easily pull it off. I just really do not find her very attractive at all! And her attitude when she was on Friends turned me off of her as well! She always seemed kind of snobbish.

Here’s Angie. She’s got that hot look that has made her famous here. This photo is a bit older, and is when she was a bit heavier. She HAS been gaining weight lately, which is good, because no one wants her unhealthy. She’s much more voluptuous and is a woman that you can easily see as the “bad girl”, OR the girl next door.

So that’s where I reside - I believe that Jennifer cared more about her own career than she did her marriage, because relationships take a lot of work. It seems that Brad and Angie work a lot harder at making sure that they both get what they want and need out of their lives, including their children.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt

I remember when, less than a year ago, I finally watched Fight Club. It was amazing - I’m usually able to figure the plot of a movie out fairly quickly (the whole “I see dead people” thing was NO surprise to me), but this one got me until about 10 minutes before the movie wrote the plot out in crayon.

Part of the genius of the movie was the chemistry between Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. The two worked well together, and seemed to light up the screen just like when Brad and Angie worked together (okay - eewwww - but you get what I mean).

Now the duo will be pairing up again! YES! They’re slated to star in State of Play.

Norton will play a congressman whose speedy political rise is threatened by an investigation into the death of his mistress. Pitt plays a politico-turned-journalist whose relationship with the solon is compromised when he oversees his newspaper’s investigation into the murder and develops a relationship with the pol’s estranged wife.

So THIS time, Norton plays the whacko!

Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Fight Club

Apparently, Brad, Angie and the crew spent their last evening in France bowling with Marianne Pearl and her son, Adam. Brad wound up helping the little ones quite a bit, as their balls couldn’t get all the way down the bowling isle.

The crew then left, headed for parts unknown, on their private jet. Apparently Marianne and her son left with them. Here’s a shot of Angie and Brad loading Shiloh in.

Umm…this is kinda backwards…usually you take the child OUT of the carseat - MOVE the carseat, secure it, THEN put the child back into the carseat…think they need a manual?

Brad took a quick jaunt to Berlin the other day to have dinner with some friends. He’s back in Prague with Angie and the kids now. This is truly not newsworthy. Unfortunately I have a weakness for men on motorcycles…
