Zahara Jolie-Pitt, commonly called Princess Z, turns three today! Sweet Princess Z is definitely the Jolie-Pitt with the most attitude. She looks to have a very strong personality to go along with her beautiful features. She was adopted by Angie and Brad when she was six months old. Zahara was born in Ethiopia and was adopted by Brad and Angie when she was six months old. Recently a woman has come forward and has claimed she is Zahara’s mother, and that she is proud that Zahara is being raised by such wonderful parents.

I would have to agree.

There has been a lot of talk lately about Zahara - some people are saying that she was adopted illegally and that her biological mother did not die of AIDS, as the biological grandmother claimed during the adoption process.

A woman named Mentwabe Dawit has come forward and claimed that she is Zahara’s biological mother. She told reporters the story of how she was raped one evening when she walked home from her job at a construction site.

“He pulled a dagger, put one hand on my mouth, so that I could not scream. He then raped me and disappeared.”

She did not tell anyone about the pregnancy until she was unable to hide it any longer. Zahara was born on the dirt floor of her mother’s home and was immediately named Yemsrach, which means Good News. She says that she tried to take care of Yemsrach, but that she was unable to feed her, and that she became so malnurished she was unable to even cry.

In desperation, Mentwabe ran away. She says she couldn’t bear to see her daughter die.

Her mother looked for Mentwabe but was unable to find her, so she put the infant up for adoption. Yemsrach was adopted by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and was re-named Zahara.

Mentwabe swears that she’s never wanted Zahara back, and that she believes that Angelina is a better mother than she could be. She says she feels grateful that Angelina adopted her daughter.

“I think my daughter is a very fortunate human being to be adopted by a world famous lady. I wish them both all the success they deserve.”

She has also said that one day, when Zahara is grown, she would like to meet her, to explain why she was put up for adoption.

In this video, Mentwabe speaks with British reporters and denounces that she’s ever tried to get Zahara back.

Everyone seems to have an opinion about the last article I posted. You remember - the one where Angie admitted to trying every drug there ever was? A lot of my readers were pretty upset, feeling that the interview was fake.

Was the interview fake? I have no idea. I’d believe it was fake if it came from the STAR magazine, or the National Enquirer, but coming from ET Online leads me to believe that it’s not. They have a few more journalistic beliefs than the other gossip rags do. But I’m going to do something right now that I rarely do on this blog: I’m going to state my opinions and hope that it doesn’t make my readers disappear.

Do I think Angie did drugs? Absolutely. She had a difficult childhood and is, I believe, still dealing with issues that she has with her father. I can sympathize with her because my father isn’t my “dad” - he’s known as the sperm donor and that’s that. Also, who hasn’t tried drugs? I do know two people who have never tried drugs, but everyone else I know has at least tried pot. Brad went to college - I’ll GUARANTEE you that he’s at least tried that, if not more.

Do I care that Angie’s done drugs? No more than I care that Brad’s done drugs. The two are excellent parents - yes, I do have issues with the schooling thing, but other than that I find it admirable how they’re balancing their careers and their children. They give generously - both of their time AND their money - to a number of different charities. I personally love how much they try to care for children.

Brad and Angie have overcome a number of different types of adversity and can now be held up as pictures of how great celebrities CAN be. Heck, they should be held up as examples of how people can parent and work at the same time.

Some of my readers believe that I don’t love Brad and Angie - I do! I was, however, trained as a journalist, which means that I try to post all sides of the story to allow the readers to make their own decision as to what’s true, and what’s not. I will tell you MY opinion right now: I love Brad and Angie, but they’re only human. They DO make mistakes, and they HAVE made mistakes in the past, but who hasn’t? I believe that Brad and Angie will be two of those celebrities that last for a long time and that everyone remembers - like Elizabeth Taylor, or John Wayne, or Angie’s newest director, Clint Eastwood.

I have very few best friends in my life - one of them is Katie over at Watching Criminal Minds. (which, by the way, is WAY beneath House when it comes to being a good show). Anyway, Katie has decided, over on her Criminal Minds blog, to bring back the whole “Team Aniston vs Team Jolie” thing again. When we were in high school, we used to argue if Selma Hyak was better or Catherine Zeta-Jones (Zeta-Jones is WAY more hot, and she’s got that dominatrix quality that is just awesome!), so it only makes sense that we’d choose sides when it came to the Jolie/Aniston battle. Unfortunately Katie has ignored all common sense and is chosing Team Aniston - WHAT?!

Okay, first of all she says that Jennifer Aniston is a “lady” - that she just looks “nice”, and that she seems much more approachable than Angelina. Hmmm - let’s compare, shall we?

In this shot, Angie looks as though she’s ready to cry. A totally candid shot. Let’s compare with Aniston, shall we?

In that middle shot, she looks PISSED! And she doesn’t look good in a bikini either. Okay, so putting Angie in a refugee camp against Jennifer in a bathing suit isn’t really fair - here’s Angie, then!

You know, I can’t FIND a picture of Angelina in a bikini! Hrm - I wonder why?! Well, let’s go onto something else, then…

Brad and Jen were married for five years. During which time Brad didn’t do tons of acting (he’s doing more NOW than he did THEN) and supported Jen’s career. What I’m assuming happened (and I hate assuming, but it’s all we can do) is that Brad wanted to start a family after Jen finished with Friends. Obviously Jen didn’t want to at that point in her life (if she wasn’t able to biologically have children, they could have adopted - Brad has certainly adopted since) and I believe that Brad had a problem with that. Brad and Angie have been together for a little over two years, and they’ve had 3 children together (adopted 2 and had one biologically), so it’s pretty obvious that he definitely wanted children.

Let’s look at Angie and Jen’s asthetic appeal, shall we?

Alright, so here’s Jennfer Aniston. Let’s look at her objectively: Her hair looks extremely thin, although she had a stylist that was brilliant a few years ago who created all the rage when he cut her hair short and layered it. I feel that her face actually looks rather mannish - if she wanted to play the part of a transvestite, she could easily pull it off. I just really do not find her very attractive at all! And her attitude when she was on Friends turned me off of her as well! She always seemed kind of snobbish.

Here’s Angie. She’s got that hot look that has made her famous here. This photo is a bit older, and is when she was a bit heavier. She HAS been gaining weight lately, which is good, because no one wants her unhealthy. She’s much more voluptuous and is a woman that you can easily see as the “bad girl”, OR the girl next door.

So that’s where I reside - I believe that Jennifer cared more about her own career than she did her marriage, because relationships take a lot of work. It seems that Brad and Angie work a lot harder at making sure that they both get what they want and need out of their lives, including their children.

I have been extremely busy today helping our neighbor move out - he sold his home and has to put most of his stuff in storage because he doesn’t have a new home yet! He’s putting some of his big stuff here, so we’ve had to make some room and juggle things around. I’ve got some time this evening and I promise that I will scour the net to make sure I haven’t missed anything today!

Alright - I’m sorry - I can’t stand it anymore. This is especially rough for me because I get to talk about two AMAZING parents every day. Brad and Angie are awesome parents - they seriously are. They go to a premiere and leave early so that they can take their son to school. They take turns working so that they can make sure the kids have time with each parent.

And then you see this:

This is Sean Preston - Britney’s son. Britney Spears took her son with her shopping yesterday - she was seen with her son’s passy in her mouth (NOT that big of a deal), but that photo really, really bothered me. This is Sean in his car seat. The shoulder straps are NOT on his shoulder and the clasp is not around his chest. Would you like to know what would happen if she got into an accident with his car seat like that?! He would get whiplash, because his shoulders aren’t secured, and probably abdominal bleeding, from where the clasp IS located.

*sigh* - I know that Britney’s young, but COME ON. If any normal person had their child strapped down like this, they would get a visit from DCF or the local police guys, where a police man or social worker would SHOW them how to properly put on the car seat.

I said a few minutes ago that I thought Zahara’s purse was photoshopped….I’m not so sure anymore. Here are a few more photos I just found that make it seem a bit LESS photoshopped (especially the one where they’re getting into the car). Maybe Angie would spend $1,000 on a purse for Zahara…and maybe the “mini-purse” wasn’t $1,000, as it wasn’t quit so huge…probably at least $200, though.

Our hottie wasn’t just hanging out with his significant other, he also hit the red carpet with his co-stars. Casey Affleck is surprising me! He looks enough like Ben to notice the resemblance, but different…he’s hotter!

There’s NOTHING going on right now in Brad Pitt world…other than taking care of four children and working…LOL.

According to the internet, it cost One Hundred MILLION dollars in order to make Ocean’s 13. I’m guessing that most of that went to talent, as I’m sure there’s very little CGI in the film.

As of yesterday it has made fiffty million dollars. It’s got a LONG way to go…

Brad and Angelina were photographed again going out to dinner in Prague. Now, we have basically these options:

1. They are trying to mend a rift in their relationship by spending time together.

2. They are going to be breaking up but are trying to make things look good until after Cannes.

3. They are truly in love with each other and this is the first time they’ve been able to get out and away from the kids for a few evenings alone.

Which is the truth? Let’s pretend it’s a “Choose your own adventure” book - you decide.

My thoughts, today, are with the thirty-three people whose lives were taken in the Virginia Tech Shootings yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with the grieving family as well…to have your son/daughter/sister/brother/grandchild ripped from your life in such a way is the most horrible thing that can happen to any family. Here is the Vietnamese law on adoption:

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTIVE PARENTS: According to the Vietnamese “Law on Marriage and the Family,” adoptive parents must be at least 20 years older than the children they wish to adopt. Only one single person or one married couple may adopt. S/he or they must meet all of the following requirements: have not had their parental rights restricted by authorities, have good ethical qualities, and have the capacity to care for, support, and educate the adoptive child. If married, both persons must meet all requirements. Children up to and including the age of 15 can be adopted. Under Vietnamese law, a child over age nine must consent in writing to his/her adoption.

Civil Status of Prospective Adoptive Parents: Vietnam law permits adoption by married couples (one man, one woman) and single heterosexual persons. Vietnam law prohibits homosexual individuals or couples from adopting Vietnamese children.

So now it makes a little more sense why Angelina is adopting as a single parent. But why, I wonder, is it Angelina applying for the adoption and not Brad?! Why not give him a turn?
