Looks like James Haven is lending Brad a hand when it comes to corralling the punks! James showed up at the hospital bringing Maddox with him (who has the most awesome new haircut EVA - I wonder if Pax has the same one now!) The two visited Angelina and I’m sure a good time was had by all.
(There’s been a lot of talk around the net about James getting hot - he’s Angelina’s brother, how could he be anything but hot?!)
I’m sorry I didn’t post yesterday Jolie-Pitt fans. One weekend a month we have an 8 year old girl for respite, and things kind of go a bit haywire when that happens. Going from a 2 children home to a 3 children home is a bit crazy, so I can only imagine what it will be like for Angelina and Brad when the twins are born and they go from four children to six!
I hope all the Jolie-Pitt fans in the US had a happy Fourth of July and were able to experience some time with friends and family and some great fireworks! I found myself wondering yesterday if Brad and Angelina celebrate the 4th of July or not!
It looks to be a slow news weekend (watch me say that and then have Angelina give birth), but we do have a few tidbits!
The first is the screen that was being put up in a window in the birthing center Angelina is in. Its a huge opaque screen and I find myself wondering if it is there to help shelter Angelina, or if it is there to stop some of those other women from exposing themselves to the paparazzi and bringing more attention to the hospital!
Next is a great photo of the birthing center Angelina is in - I’ve seen some photos before, but this one is AWESOME. Its beautiful! Truly, if I were in France giving birth, I’d want to be somewhere as gorgeous as this center (why is it that the French do everything with flair?)
Also, it appears that the Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, has claimed that the twins will have the option to claim French citizenship.
“That is for the citizens of Nice a very great honor and a great satisfaction. We are very happy for this choice of Mrs. Angelina Jolie and Mr. Brad Pitt and I want to say to them that I wish a lot of joy to them and the babies, and great success for all of their lives.” Mr. Estrosi said.
Apparently, the twins will have to have their primary residence in France for 5 years after they are 11 years old in order to get French citizenship. Regardless of whether or not they have French citizenship, Mr. Estrosi says that they are always welcome in Nice.
“All their lives they will be Nicois and all their life they will be able to come to Nice and we will receive them with great honor.”
(Nicois is the term for a citizen of Nice)
Now for the dilemma - I’m leaving next weekend to do a little camping with my family. We’re only going to be gone Saturday and Sunday, but chances are extremely high that I will not be able to check my email…and I’m extremely concerned that it will be the weekend Brad and Angelina welcome their twins!
So I’m thinking about doing something truly unique.
I’m thinking about allowing one of my faithful readers to take over the blog for that weekend. I will give them access to this blog from Friday, July 11th until late Sunday night, July 13th, and they will be able to post…well…whatever they’d like! They can put up photos, they can write about the family and how they love them, or they can have the honor of being the one to report on the birth of the latest additions (if Angelina has the babies by then, of course).
What do you think - would one of you be willing to help me out and post on the blog for a weekend?
And this is one reason that I love writing about this family - I’m sure if Brad and Angelina knew about this, they’d be laughing hysterically.
Let me set the scene:
The paparazzi are staked out in front of the hospital, trying to get pictures of Angelina. Suddenly a woman shows up in a window. The paparazzi are fairly sure they know which window Angelina is in, and when they see this woman they believe it may be her. The woman then lifts up her shirt and proceeds to show her pregnant belly to the photographers, as if to show the world that yes, she is still pregnant.
But wait…is that Angelina?
Hmmm, I think not! Angelina has a very large, very noticable tattoo on her lower belly…like so:
Meanwhile, Brad has been visiting Angelina with the kiddos - I haven’t seen pics of Maddox and Pax visiting yet, but I’m sure that they are. I’ve been in the hospital while I was pregnant and my firstborn was at home, and its torture! You want to be with them, but you need to focus on the new baby (or, in Angelina’s case, babies) as well, and so when your child visits you’re trying to give them all the love you can for their short visit…I hope that she doesn’t have to deal with this separation for too long!
Okay, first thing’s first - the press conference (which I’m told was very short) was just to assure everyone that Angelina and the babies are all doing well and that she and the doctor will be staying in the hospital until the birth of the twins…and he wouldn’t reveal the due date. Hey, I’m fine with not knowing the exact date, for as long as they’re inside mommy, they’re getting bigger and healthier. Also, it’s a bit more like Christmas without know the date, isn’t it? You’re never quite sure what you’ll find in the morning when you check your news! You can rest assured, should Angelina Jolie have her babies, you’ll get the news here as soon as it happens!
Now, for the review…
I just got back from seeing Wanted and, I’ve gotta tell you, I definitely have to do a review. I’m going to review the movie and the theater as well, for what would a good movie be without a good theater to see it in? The review is below the cut, as I may accidentally post a few spoilers and I wouldn’t want to ruin anyone’s enjoyment of the film, so before you click, remember that there may be spoilers below!
Hey gang! Just popping in for a few minutes because I discovered that Wanted is doing excellently at the theaters! It was released in 3,175 theaters (800 fewer than Wall-E, by the way), and the Friday estimate is $18,764,000!
For the record, Wall-E has only made $23,300,000. Wall-E made less than $5 Million more than Wanted and was released in 800 more theaters (Wall-E was released in 3,992 theaters). If Wanted had been released in as many theaters, chances are high that it would not only have equaled the amount Wall-E made, it would have surpassed it!

I’m probably going to be pretty absent tomorrow - we’ve got to go check out yard sales and then will be lighting off fireworks later in the afternoon/evening, and since we’ve got quite a few people coming (which sort of just…happened), I won’t be able to spend much time on here! boo! I WILL, however, check to make sure that Angelina hasn’t had the babies (although some sites are swearing that she’s had them already but that they do not want the public knowing this yet).

A French website, Pure People, is claiming that Angelina will give birth to the twins at Chateau Miraval. They claim that her doctor believes that it is safer for her to deliver at the Chateau, and has set up a room designed specifically for that purpose in the villa. Apparently all is in readiness if Angelina and Brad decide that they want to give birth in the nearby hospital as well.
I love, in that picture, how it looks as though Shiloh has spotted the paparazzi! You know what this means? When she’s a teenager she’ll be really good at avoiding them whenever she wants 
Well, in a way they are, anyway. Angelina recently did an interview with MTV about Wanted - if you haven’t seen it yet, it is an amazing interview. In it she talks about a number of things, such as how it was to roll around with James McAvoy:
MTV: This is your first action flick since “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” I would think it’s a little different rolling around with James McAvoy than with Brad?
Jolie: Well, you know Brad was … [Laughs.] I’ll always prefer rolling around on the floor with him than any other man. You know, in general. [Laughs.]
And how it is working while taking care of the kids:
MTV: With all that’s going on with your family and your humanitarian work, is it harder to get up and go make a movie now?
Jolie: Yeah, it’s not the thing you love the most. I love being a mom and I do love traveling and the work I get to do with children in the field and with refugees. Brad and I take turns working. So instead of it being “I get to work next,” it’s “You have to work next, because it’s your turn. I’m staying home with the kids.”
And then there’s this little gem:
MTV: You show off a lot of tattoos in the film. Are they all yours?
Jolie: No, we added a bunch. I had “toil” and “tears” based on [Winston] Churchill’s speech. I had binary codes that are actually my kids’ initials. I have “strength of will” in four different languages. “Know your rights” in different languages. It’s things like that. Very few people pick up on it, but it was [something I did] for me.
Hmm, really? Let’s check this out, shall we?

A lot of my readers also read Sherry over at Pitt Watch. Brad Pitt Watch began a long while after Pitt Watch began, and I knew that I would have an uphill battle if I would ever be considered even halfway as good as a Jolie-Pitt family website as she had. It took a long time, and a lot of learning, before I found resources and learned how to be a professional blogger (I still giggle at that term some days).
Then Sherry became my adversary - I was determined to beat her! Every day I tried my best to scoop her - some days I managed to! Most days, however, I did not.
Eventually, after a long while, our “scooping” war ended, and we became friendly towards each other! Now I consider Sherry a friend in this busy Jolie-Pitt world. There have been some nights where the two of us have stayed up very late trying to bring the best pictures we can to our loyal and lovely readers. It has given us a sort of bond.
And now, Wanted is on the verge of coming out. In a little less than two weeks. Angelina Jolie will be taking to the big screen in a very active and much-hyped-up role. Neither Sherry nor I can wait to see it!
What would you think, however, if we saw it together?
It turns out Sherry and I live only a few hours away from each other, and it is absolutely feasible to meet and watch the movie together! What do you think, dear readers - would you be at all interested in Sherry and I meeting, watching Wanted, and writing about the entire experience?!

Brad makes sure that he is completely involved with the kiddos, taking time to play with them and talk to them as all good dads should. Congratulations Brad and Happy Father’s Day a few days early!

I’m not sure where these came from, or how they got leaked online, but I’m not complaining (not after I just saw 9 minutes worth of the film - awesome action sequences!) I’m putting this below the cut line, just in case anyone doesn’t want to see 9 minutes worth of Angelina Jolie in Wanted! (and now I’m even more anxious for June 24th to come around - think I can talk my husband into going with me, or should I plan on going myself? Entertainment Weekly: Do you worry that people will have a hard time squaring this gun-toting character with your role as a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador? They do seem quite incongruous.
Angelina Jolie: I am a strong believer that without justice there is no peace. No lasting peace, anyway. I’m somebody who’s
very curious about the International Criminal Court and supportive of following through on the arrest warrants in Darfur. I’m not somebody that just wants to hold up a white flag and say, ”Let’s all just get along.” I think people that do horrible things should be held accountable. I don’t think like in Wanted — which is an action movie — people should [just] be killed. I think there should be trials and justice. But the idea behind Wanted is not that she’s a badass assassin that just likes to kill people.
It’s that, if you ran into Hitler before he did everything, and you knew, should you shoot him? And I would. These assassins are getting lists: They find out who is going to slaughter other people ahead of time and they remove them. So that was the side of me that identified with her. But it is a confusing thing, certainly for rights activists. Don’t read too much into it. I am holding a gun, but there are so many people that have done so many horrible things… Pol Pot died a grandfather in the jungle, most likely of old age. Never was punished for what he did.
Clint Eastwood is one of our most famous Republicans. Did you talk politics with him on the set?
Actually, we don’t disagree as much as you’d think. I think people assume I’m a Democrat. But I’m registered independent and I’m still undecided. So I’m looking at McCain as well as Obama. Clint can teach me about things domestically and I’m more aware of some things internationally. So it was less a debate and more things we found interesting. But for the first few weeks I was just too nervous to get into any deep conversation!
In many ways you’re a very polarizing figure. People either worship you or they can’t stand you. Have you thought about why that is?
I’d like to think it’s because I’m not neither here nor there in my life. I think anybody that makes a decision about where they stand is going to cause strong opinions about them. But I think that’s what you should be hoping for in life, so I take that as a very good sign. That some people support me and some people really don’t like me tells me that I’m making decisions and I’m standing strong for something I believe in. I’m making choices in life. And that’s the right thing to do.
Is there anything you’ve said that you wish you hadn’t? Like all that business about wearing the vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around your neck when you two were married?
No! It was never a vial anyway. It was like a flower press. It was like from a slight cut on your finger and you press your fingerprint in. It was kind of a sweet gesture. I thought it was kind of romantic! I still love him dearly and think the world of him and I’m proud to have been his wife for a time. I don’t believe in regrets. It’s a dangerous habit to get into — it makes you pause in your life if you start thinking back and questioning yourself.
What would you say are the best and worst things about being pregnant?
It’s all just so nice. You just really can’t complain about anything as long as you know the babies are looking healthy. The only thing that’s hard for me now is with twins and having four kids, there’s a lot of the doctor saying ”Stop picking them up as much.” But we’ve worked out a system where Brad just lifts them to me every time they want to come up. I just don’t bend down. I’ll scream, ”Honey!” and he’ll come running and lift them up. Or they climb on chairs, so it’s not as big of a lift. So we’re trying to follow doctor’s orders, but I’m bending them a tiny bit.
What did you make of all the brouhaha over Jack Black’s spilling that you were having twins on the Today show?
Poor Jack! Immediately when he saw Brad, he apologized. But we both told him very clearly that we had only waited because, as you do with any baby, but especially twins, you wait until all results are in on their health, and that we were past that point and if somebody had asked me directly, I would have said yes. So he didn’t do anything but take the heat himself.
You and Brad aren’t married. How do you refer to each other?
We have that problem all the time. I say ”partner” sometimes. ”Father of my children” is too long. But half the time people refer to us as, ”So, your wife this, your husband that.” We’ve stopped correcting everybody. It’s not a big intentional thing not to marry. We immediately were a family when we became a couple, and children were the priority, and we’re both legally committed to the children. And that seemed to be the right thing.
What would be your ideal way to spend a free Saturday?
I have a lot of those. Very simple things. On weekends we usually have family sleep. We always have one night a week where everybody stays up late, watches a movie, and stays in our bed. We have, like, a slumber party.
Is there intense competition among the kids as to who sleeps where?
Yeah, but it’s funny: The boys tend to want to be near Mommy and the girls tend to want to be near Daddy. So it works out nicely.

First of all I’d like to apologize for not posting yesterday - sorry! We had a massive storm hit Vermont and it knocked out my power for 24 hours! You forget how much you love running water until you’re without it for 24 hours!
Once again Brad and Angelina have made the top ten in Forbe’s most powerful celebrities. Angelina actually came in third this year! Earning $14 million, Forbes says:
Despite the paparazzi, pregnancy and peace activism, the owner of the

reporter in the same year. Photos of her twins should fetch the highest
price ever for baby snaps. She’ll probably give the money to charity.

Well one thing has been proved - something is up. James McAvoy was at the Wanted photocall in Berlin, Germany Tuesday, which means that he should also be at the premiere. No Angelina, however, which means that we can safely assume that Angelina is probably on bed rest. I hope that she and the babies are doing well, and also hope that the kiddos are enjoying summer!
The word is out - there will be no London Wanted premiere. According to Premiere Hub, the premiere will not be held in the UK because of Angelina Jolie’s pregnancy. The people in London will really be missing out, because there will not be a premiere of The Incredible Hulk either!! If this information is right (and Lord only knows if it is when you find it online), then there will be no premiere to help us to know how Angelina and the babies are doing. I just hope that everyone is healthy and that the kids and mom and dad are enjoying the beginning of their summer together!
