EcoGreen-Warming gift

With Brad Pitt settling down in New Orleans with his family, EcoGreen Fire thought it would be a good idea to give him a gift for his new French Quarter home. The Australian product EcoSmart™ Fire is being distributed by the company, who believes the eco-friendly fireplace, which uses ethanol, is an ideal present for Brad.

“Now that he has a house in New Orleans,” says Mike Paine, co-owner of EcoGreen Fire, “we thought it would be a nice gesture. We have followed his work with Global Green, helping to rebuild the New Orleans area, and we think it’s great what he’s doing in the community.”

Alright, does this seem…odd…to anyone else? I live in New England, which means fireplaces are a useful thing…you burn them to keep warm, not to make love on a bearskin rug in front of the fireplace. So why, oh WHY, would you need a fireplace in New Orleans?! Could someone PLEASE explain this to me?
