Humbled
I don’t often take the time to check out my stats. Brad Pitt Watch is part of the 451 Press network, a network that has just a few blogs to their name. Because of this we have access to a lovely counter so that we can keep track of how many people are visiting our site, and where they are coming from. And, for the record, I LOVED the day that I had 20,000 hits from the SAG awards - that was the most this website has ever seen in a day and had me jumping up and down in the living room…not because I would make a lot of money (trust me, I don’t!), but because people were actually interested in what I had to say about Brad and Angie. I kept checking until almost midnight, and had a blast watching the numbers rise.
Sorry - I’m digressing. Anyway, this morning I had a few hours free (my mother volunteered to take the children overnight - a rarity) and decided to take a peek at the stats and where people who visit this site are coming from. I was in shock - thousands of visitors to this site every day come from other countries, such as the Philippines, Canada, the UK, Germany, Italy, and hundreds of other countries.

I am honored, and humbled, that you all visit this site every day (including those in the US), and I want to say thank you. Thank you for making my website part of your daily routine - I am truly flattered and honored. I love finding out information about this wonderful family, and for a moment this morning I wondered why so many people in so many countries were interested in Brad and Angie and the family. Then I thought, “why wouldn’t they be?” Brad and Angie are the perfect example of what is right with the world. They have children by birth and children of the heart - they make millions of dollars every year, but also spend millions of dollars trying to make life better for those who have not had the same opportunities that they have been afforded. They love their children, and their family, and are just good people.
Some of our government makes other countries hate the United States. Brad and Angie give them hope that not everyone in the US is out for themselves or crazy.
So I say, once again, thank you for choosing this site to read, and I hope that I can continue to bring you the best photos and the best information, as they say in my home state of Vermont, “quick, fast, and in a hurry” every day.

You know what, I like this site because you keep it real with the Brangie fans and try to stray away from the negativity and haters…(that’s a good thing). This site and (pitt watch) should be one of the top network blog sites because you post lovely stories about Brangie and their children. I will always make comments, when appropriate, and this article deserves one. So, keep up the good work and keep the great stories coming about Brangie and crew…God bless!

I come to your website everytime I log on because I, like most other visitors, want to hear the good about Brad and Angelina. That being said, I was saddened that you made the following comment:
“Some of our government makes other countries hate the United States. Brad and Angie give them hope that not everyone in the US is out for themselves or crazy.”
As a proud American, I take offense at this comment. First of all, I’m not sure what country hates us but as we saw on 9/11, hatred can have little if anything to do with actions we have or have not taken. Sometimes hatred is just in the blood and mind of sick power hungry terrorists.
I also don’t believe our government is “out for themselves” or “crazy.” The only thing we are “crazy” about is contributing more than any other nation toward foreign aid. The US has contributed more, in real dollars, to foreign aid in the way of Official Development Assistance than any other country in the world.
I come to your website because I love to hear positive things about Brad and Angie but I certaintly don’t expect them to bear the responsibility of making our country look good. We can do that on our own, thank you very much. I think it is really very irresponsible to make such comments and only gives the US Haters of the world the feeling that they have some sort of credibility here.

Ann
I don’t think it was a bad comment about the US, most countries do find the US arrogant and not very knowledgeable about the rest of the world. But don’t worry the US has only had this privilege of not being liked since WWII. Before that it was Britain, France and Germany. I am sure it will not last. And this has nothing to do with actuality it just a perception that is put forth by the media.

I’ve also heard that who we vote in as the new president will raise our status around the world (provided it’s a democrat - you take my meaning). I agree with Ann in the respect of each of us taking responsibility for ourselves in this world to set a good example where ever we go, and not to rely on the JP’s to do it for us. Get out and vote, be active to make changes where you can! Live your life’s mission…that’s the true message that comes from this beautiful couple.

SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! I ALWAYS POST IN THIS SITE AND I WISH MORE PEOPLE THAT READ THIS SITE WILL POST…

Hi Randi, I return the thank you to you as well, since this site and Pittwatch are tops on my list. You and Sherry have not only been great in posting, but also great in moderating comments.
Anyway, I’m from the Philippines (although I lived for about 7 years in Minnesota) but with many relatives living in the US. I don’t mean to offend Ann or any other Americans, however, I agree with what you said that “Some of our government makes other countries hate the United States. Brad and Angie give them hope that not everyone in the US is out for themselves or crazy.” The operative word here really is “Some..”
Kim is also right. There are many parts of the world that find the US arrogant and somewhat ignorant about what’s really going on in the world. It’s also true that the media is in a great part to blame. Don’t get me wrong, many of us in different parts of the globe do not believe all Americans are bad people, and Angie is one glorious example. There are many other not quite as well known. I know the Peace Corps volunteers that still come to the Philippines are greatly appreciated in the areas where they are sent.
Truth is, and this is the saddest thing, there will always be division and disagreement. I guess that’s because there’s never really one side to a story. Which is why I keep praying for less hate in this world and more respect and understanding. If we could only do this, then there will be better room for dialogue and this will be a much better world.

Rubi - Hi there. I have also faithfully posted on this site eversince I found out about it. Let’s continue to post and show major love and appreciation for Randi’s labor of love for the Jolie-Pitts.
Isacutie - great post…very honest and I agree that the operative word is SOME. I wish more people will be inspired esp. by Brangelina to be more loving (eliminate hating)and embracing of all people as we are all citizens of the world…SOO RESPECT and love Angie for seeing no borders!

… I’m sure the site is a very important part of your life, but does any of you ever think about the fact that by posting or visiting this site you’re becoming a part of the paparazzi-madness that has such a great negative impact on the private (!!!!) life of Brad and Angelina??

Randi check this out: http://www.splashnewsonline.com/2008/02/28/brad-pitt-lands-in-texas/. Thanks!

To sceptic…yep, it does become kind of catch-22. We love to see the pics, so in a way we are partly responsible for the paps, but we do hate the paps. But I think most JP fans would be happy just reading about how they’re doing and just seeing occasional photos. I know I would be.
To Beni… thanks.
To PinkyJP…thanks…I’m glad to see that there are very many Pinoy fans of the JPs.

Ann, I am agree with you, firstly, what kind of countries hate US, those who don´t recognize the leader of the world, or the country who saved us from Hitler and comunism and now from terrorism. I admire your country and your president who defended all of you. It´s crazy to say wrong thing about US people . I never stayed or visited your country but I think your troops are contributing to make a secure world and as the good example of Jolie-Pitts family, everybody must contribute to a better world.
