Pitt a Cheapskate?

MSNBC.com is telling the ’sad’ tale about how Brad and Angie chose not to rent a residence from the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa near Austin, Texas. Brad’s production company apparently checked out the resort and were interested in renting the Litton House. The hotel charges $2,000 a night for that home…holy moly! Brad’s production company apparently offered to pay $3,000 for a month’s stay, and offer which the hotel turned down.
Instead, Brad and Angie rented the beautiful ranch where the kids have plenty of space to run around and (rumor has it), they have their own WWE wrestling ring.
Hmmm…wonder who got the better end of that deal?

i think the ranch house is much greater. i mean, it’s got enough space for the kids to have fun, like swimming, horse back riding, ride their bikes or scooters and it’s got it’s own playground. they’re probably sick of staying to a 5 star hotel or spa.

I don’t think that they are cheap by any means..I mean.. they were in NY City for a good couple of months when, I believe Brad was working on a film and they stayed at the great and beautiful Waldorf Astoria..Which was like over 35,000 or more a day..For like an entire floor..
I just think that that particular place was trying to milk them for all the money they could get Since they know it was Brad and Angie..It is not the WA for sure.
They just found something that worked for them and the kids..And refused to be taken for advantage us..Come on now…

Very tabloid like ala ABC, there’s no dividing line anymore between legit and tabloid news. Whatever gets them most hits I guess.
The movie is a low budget productions, they couldn’t have afforded to pay that amount for Brad and Angie’s accomodations. This is not Brad’s production.
I read the whole article and they DO admit that most of the staff and actors were staying in rented accomodation too. Not hotel accomodation. But it’s Brad and Angie, people get their kicks from making them look bad; hence the article. Non story though it may be.

The word from Smithville is that Brad Pitt will be done filming his role in Terrence Malick’s “Tree of Life” in about three weeks.
The shoot, currently on a Tuesday to Saturday schedule, is expected to go until June. This means all the tabloid reports about Angelina Jolie having her twins in Texas are as wrong as just about everything else that’s been reported. One article, for instance, wrote about how the Pitt-Jolie clan wanted to live near the Smithville Regional Hospital in case she went into labor. Well, the Smithville Hospital doesn’t have a maternity ward.
Can’t say we’ll miss the paparazzi, who have gone to incredible lengths to get anything on Pitt, Jolie and their four kids. One pair of snoops even posed as wedding planners to take photos of the Hyatt Lost Pines exclusive Litton House, purported to be where the P-J brood were going to stay. The Star ran the spread, even though the superstar family is renting a ranch in Cedar Creek owned by pro wrestler Mark “the Undertaker” Calaway. Helicopters have been whirring overhead at the compound, with shots showing up here.
Life & Style Weekly broke the Undertaker/Pitt plot, but there was so much else wrong in the item (there’s no Smithville-Crawford Municipal Airport) that I didn’t believe it at first, but an insider confirmed to me that it was true.
Perhaps the craziest lie picked up around the world is that Pitt offered the Hyatt Lost Pines only $3,000 a month to stay in the $2,000 a night Litton House. Do you think Brad, Angie and the kids would check into a hotel, where the paps could also get rooms? The plan was always to rent a secluded house near Smithville.”

I too no longer trust anything printed by MSNBC. They have joined the tabloid world, as has ABC.
I wish that true article from Austin could be spread as widely as the false information. Since it is not a lie, it will never be repeated anywhere except on this type of blog. But thanks for including what anyone with common sense would have known in the first place.
